10 Ways To Reduce Anxiety And Depression Through Diet, Supplements, Herbs, And Remedies. Written by Theresa Hemsath Most people who struggle with anxiety also struggle with bouts of depression as well. And if you ask people who struggle with anxiety or depression if they have digestive issues, they will say often yes. Interesting correlation, but does it mean anything? Most people think that the receptors for the neurotransmitters responsible for our emotions (serotonin, neuroepinephrine, and dopamine) are primarily in our brain. The big one seen to really affect anxiety levels is serotonin. Sure they are in our brain, but where…

So often these days, I see casual posts on social media or hear casual comments about such a serious issue. A dear sister in the Lord, who has experience with overcoming both anxiety and depression, in a biblical way, is sharing her  wisdom and research with us today. Anxiety and Depression—5 theories for Solution to this Modern Day Epidemic Written by Theresa Hemsath As a rather emotional person from birth and now a working mother of three children, I have struggled with anxiety and sometimes, bouts of depression for most of my life. Chemical Free Fabric Softener

Today’s Post is a Guest Post from Carmen over at Carmen Homemaker. Since I have ventured into the “All Natural World”, I have not been fully content with the smell of all my homemade products. I have used many ingredients/recipes suggested from One  Good Thing including this fabric softener, which I love!!   I have used homemade dryer sheets, consisting of a cloth pot holder with 10 drops of essential oil(s), but with little success. While I love the smells of various essential oils, you cannot smell them on your clothes once dried, so it really seems like a waste of…

Fitness Friday | Best Stroller Posture

Flipping through a fitness magazine “FIT FOCUS: Fitness and Nutrition for Women” I found this simple acronym, W.A.S.H.   I found that it is easy to remember and helps me correct my posture when walking and running with my little one in the stroller.  Here is what the magazine said: “As easy way to remember would be: W.A.S.H Wrists neutral Abs in Shoulders down Hips forward Remember WASH whenever you push your child in the stroller, and you will stay injury-free and strong. Grocery shopping doesn’t need to be a pain in the back. Use the same posture to push your…

Fitness Friday |Don’t Neglect Godliness

Don’t get me wrong, I’m an advocate of being a good steward of your body.    But…   Let us not forget…     This body is temporary. Our beauty is  found in who we are in Christ. Time in God’s Word is better than a morning jog. We should spend more time on our character than our make-up. Godliness is for eternal purpose.   “For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8

Fitness Friday | Swimming

Yesterday was our last day of school and we took the kids swimming at my grandparents community pool.  My mom, aunt and uncle and grandparents all came by and at one point I had about 15 minutes all to myself to swim laps.  What a joy to swim.  If I could manage the logistics, I would swim every morning and night before bed. I’ve always heard there are a ton of benefits to swimming, which I do not doubt. However since I’m not an expert in the area and I didn’t really do any research on the benefits of…
